Banknote: Continental, February, 17, 1776, back

The back of this Benjamin Franklin–designed banknote shows thirteen linked rings representing the colonies and the legends “We Are One” and “American Congress.” To hamper the production of counterfeits, the paper, made at Ivy Mills in Chester County, Pennsylvania, contains blue fibers and mica flakes.
